As I’d been complaining that London parks (barring the big central ones) seem to all consist of nothing much but a big empty field she determined to show me different by taking the short journey (bah, busses 🙁 ) to Priory Gardens in Orpington.

Vonnegut Reading Slaughterhouse-Five
Pretty rare and fine audio of Kurt Vonnegut reading from Slaughterhouse-Five.
Makes for excellent listening. It’s many years since I first read Vonnegut’s satirical (and disturbing) take on the allied bombing of Dresden (an event he was eye witness to). A truly awful and questionable event, though almost certainly not worse, as is often claimed, than the atomic explosions which were to follow.
