A little while I added a post from my old site recalling photographs of old Brighton Avenue school (with another couple recently added!), which I grew up with. On a related note, I came across this image of the old drill hall on Liddell Terrace. I remember the building well from my time at the school across the road from it, though I never realised what it was. It was always a mysterious hint of history which, as this record notes, seemed to fit in with the school, certainly taking influence from the architecture. Unlike the school this building still stands, now home to St Chad’s Community Project.
