A Country Walk

A nice little walk in something that feels like countryside

For some reason, despite the years of living here, I’d never been to Scadbury Park, despite the fact it’s a very short bus ride away just up the road. So it didn’t take much persuasion to finally get me there, for a little walk on a sunny .

The Grass Is Greener

Or so they say

Coming from the busy road one is plunged into woodland, and a surprising quiet. A trail leads around a circular route, taking in most of the sights to be had. These include an interesting sundial where the human body forms the gnomon, and a handful of bears from a wider area trail (including a lovely bench which gives a bear hug). One can also peer through the fence at the old moated manor house remains.

By the time we were climbing the hill back past some horses we knew we’d been on a walk, but an enjoyable one. Look forward to returning.
