Two Nights Two Gigs

After returning to Brixton Heather and I were quickly back, but first a trip to Kentish Town Forum.

The Lightning Seeds

At Front

Ian Brodie leeding The Lightning Seeds

saw us at the Forum, to see The Lightning Seeds run through songs old and new (including a rendition of Whole Wide World with Wreckless Eric himself). And yes, they did Three Lions even though it feels like they, and possibly half the crowd, don’t really want to.

Shed Seven

In Ecstacy

With the legendary Rowetta

saw us back at Brixton, to see Shed Seven having a party, at the end of their 30th anniversary tour (we feel old). The half of The Sherlocks set we saw in support was pretty good as well—certainly no shit there. Shed Seven themselves were bombastic (they’ve had a couple of number one albums this year, which might have got a mention). And we all love a good sing along to Chasing Rainbows at the end* The guy in front of us who decided he couldn’t wait ten minutes to take a drag on his strawberry vape, because he’s presumably five, triggering Heather’s asthma can fucking do one though. Cunt.
