Catching up on a couple of gigs from the last couple of months.
First up in March[/t was a trip to Shepherd’s Bush Empire to see Franz Ferdinand, supported by The Great Leslie (who were okay) and the strangely genre uncertain Master Peace. The main impression of Franz Ferdinand themselves were Alex Kapranos’s bandy legs and wondering why they had a bit of raised stage they barely used. Still good though.

The start of April then saw us back at Brixton (still with it’s long, long walk round the block to get in). We were there for the always wonderful Ocean Colour Scene, always a worthwhile live experience. In this instance they were rather randomly supported by Kula Shaker, which would have made a late teenage me quite happy. A good night.
