Heather and I kicked off the first quarter of the year with a couple of gigs, both from bands we’ve definitely seen before.

First off in was a visit to a new venue, Scala at Kings Cross, a maze of an ex-cinema. It’s cosy, and we found a nice little corner to watch the action from, which was nice. First up were the hilarious and talented Bag of Cans, who we greatly enjoyed before Ash came out to rock us.

Then we were off to the more familiar surrounds of The Apollo to relive what in our heads is possibly quite a new bit of music, but in fact is now twenty year old. Kaiser Chiefs ran through the rather good album Employment, plus a few more for good measure (ably supported by Corella
