Heather and I took a little trip off into London, to see an old friend returning after touring the country, as Dippy returned to the Natural History Museum.
Back when I used to play with an STM I used to get quite excited when sixth formers came around, showing them individual atoms appearing in a scan (probably of a Si 7×7 reconstruction). This is probably as close as that to really seeing an atom. Cool stuff.

This weekend’s bit of culture was a visit to Tate Britain. Heading there to meet up with some WAY friends in order to see the Lowry Exhibit Heather, Gemma and I got there early to have a bit of a look around the main galleries.
