Transported To Acton

A little trip to the London Transport Museum Depot in Acton. It wasn’t obvious how much fun it would be beforehand but it turned out to be quite jolly. The place is filled with a truly ramshackle collection of random stuff. There was the remain of a spiral travellator found at the bottom of a lift shaft, numerous signs, some old tube maps, tube trains (including one awful prototype), and many busses. There was also a tiny miniature railway and a heritage bus which took us for a little trip around Acton.

Not shown: The amusing sign stating “this scaffold does not comply with regulations”, the little boy incredulous that his dad was “alive in the eighties” and the beer bus! And the peculiarly named pub we found afterwards.
